A Dad, helps guide his sons on how to get energy to flow from the battery through a wire to magnetize a nail. This activity is a favorite for scholars, as they learn laws of attraction through magnetism.
My daughter attended the 'Becoming Earth Scientist' summer camp between July 10 & 14th, and it was the highlight of her summer. She loved the field experiments, the knowledge gained, and the new friends she made.
Before the camp started, she thought one week was way too much time to "play in the dirt", but once she started, she could not get enough time at camp. She was extremely sad when the camp ended, but now she's looking forward to next summer's camp, especially since I told her her it may be longer and cover additional science topics.
Personally, I like the camp very much, not only because my daughter loved it, but because I found it was very organized and professionally executed. A schedule for day-by-day and hour-by-hour activities for the duration of the camp was available from the first day (along with lunch menu for the week). And I liked that the camp ended with presentations to parents by the kids on some of the practical work they did.
Like my daughter, I am excitedly looking forward to next year's camp.

The program was fun an informative for Kayden. He enjoyed coming and learning something new relating to the earth everyday. The hands-on instruction was very beneficial for Kayden because he is so busy. Overall the program was great and we are ready to sign him up again.
- E. Jackson (Mt. Healthy School)
I thought the program was excellent for my children who are different ages. The experiments and learning that took place over the week was great and to see it all come together through presentation was awesome! This program is top of my list for next summer.
- T. McRay (Kilgour Elementary)
Chelsea was an awesome teacher. She made the class fun, informative, laid back, and hands-on. I would love to take another class with her!

“I have two master’s degrees and work with my child daily. I was surprised how much I learned and how can improve on what I’m teaching my son. I recommend this workshop to any parent who wants their child to have the best educational opportunity.”
- T. Parker
"The workshop was very informative and I saw things that my wife and I can improve on."
- Pastor P. Yufrus
This program allowed our students to learn about simple machines in an interactive and fun way. The entire time students were engaged and stated how much fun they were having. We will definitely be continuing this partnership.
